The Hunting Dictionary mobile application has been officially launched and is now available for download on both Google Play and the App Store.
The Hunting Dictionary provides a comprehensive multilingual database of hunting-related terminology covering a wide range of topics, including game species, landscape terminology, shooting and safety, hunting methods, equipment and clothing, hunting dogs, trophies, hunting infrastructure, wildlife management and legislation, as well as travel and hunting tourism. The technical development and implementation of the software solution were carried out by the Faculty of Economics and Management at the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague.
The application currently supports eight languages: Czech, English, German, Hungarian, Finnish, Serbian, Croatian, and Greek. Its multilingual structure is designed to facilitate communication, learning, and knowledge exchange among hunters, students, researchers, and professionals across Europe.
One of the key features of the application is its offline functionality. Users can access the dictionary even in forests, rural regions, and other remote hunting areas where mobile network coverage may be limited or unavailable.
The project partners expect the application to contribute to improved international cooperation, education, and the development of sustainable hunting tourism. Future updates will focus on expanding the dictionary content, introducing additional languages, and incorporating feedback from users.
The Hunting Dictionary is now available for download and can accompany users during hunting trips, fieldwork, studies, and outdoor activities throughout Europe.
