On 28 August 2025, a lecture titled “Economic Impacts of Hunting Tourism and Practical Examples for Its Use” was delivered within the Hunting Seminar of the Central Bohemian Region, held in Prague.
The presentation focused on hunting tourism as an economic opportunity, including an analysis of who participates in fee hunting in the Czech Republic and their motivations, based on questionnaire surveys. It also addressed the limits of hunting tourism development and explored ways to mitigate potential negative impacts, complemented by practical examples from the field.
The lecture was delivered as part of the SHUNTDIEM project, which aims to support sustainable approaches to the development of hunting tourism across Europe. The seminar was primarily attended by hunting ground users and hunters, contributing to an active and practice-oriented discussion.
The event provided a valuable platform for knowledge exchange between researchers and practitioners, as well as an opportunity to present project outcomes to key stakeholders in the sector.
